Bigg Boss Season 5 Tamil Contestants: A total of 18 contestants took part in the Bigg Boss show this time in the fifth season. The Bigg Boss Season 5 on Vijay TV started on 3rd October, Sunday. The winner of the event will spend 100 days with other top 5 contestants with the support of the people (their fans). The winner of the Bigg Boss event will receive a cash prize of Rs 50 lakh and a Bigg Boss Trophy.

Usually, 16 contestants will take part in the Bigg Boss show. Some competitors will go into the Bigg Boss house as a subsequent wild card entry. But this time around 18 contestants have made an entry into the Big Boss house on the first day itself.

For the fifth time in a row, actor Kamal Haasan is hosting the reality show. The participants of the show have come from diverse fields such as acting, singing, TV hosting, and entrepreneurship. All the contestants have had a mandatory quarantine under the Covid-19 protocol.

Gaana singer has gone home as the first contestant of Bigg Boss Season 5 show. The musician is from North Chennai. The BBC is proud to have chosen the musician as one of the top 100 women in the world. He received this recognition for excelling in the Gaana music industry where women are reluctant to step foot. Actor Raju Jayamohan has entered the Bigg Boss house as the second contestant. Hailing from Tirunelveli, he completed his BSc in Visual Communication. Transgender Namitha Marimuthu is the 5th contestant in the BB5 Tamil show. For the first time in the history of Tamil Bigg Boss, Namitha has participated as a transgender contestant.
