Visiting Birmingham and have big plans to stay in and order food for delivery instead of going out on the town?
Perhaps you live in Birmingham and attend or work at one of the University of Alabama campuses within the city limits. Or maybe you’re one of the tens of thousands of folks that work in the industrial world in Birmingham.
But regardless of your reason for being in Birmingham, you’ll no doubt have a moment in which you’ll want to know what kind of foods you can get brought to your door with the click of a button.
If you’re hungry for tapas and tacos, there’s one place that’s head and shoulders above the rest in Birmingham.
Babalu Tapas & Tacos serves tapas such as Grilled Chicken Skewers, Pan-Seared Crab Cakes, Creole Shrimp & Grits, and more. As for tacos, you’ll find the likes of shrimp, pork belly, braised pork, fish, roasted chicken, and cauliflower.
And if you order from Babalu but aren’t feeling tapas or tacos, they also serve a few different kinds of burgers and sandwiches, too.
In case you hadn’t guessed, Slice is a pizzeria, and they serve a versatile list of specialty pizzas.
From BBQ to margherita to pesto pizza and spicy Hawaiian, there are north of a dozen pies to choose from. If you’re simply ordering lunch, you can grab a specialty slice each day of the week as the varieties rotate through their place on the menu.
Appetizers available at Slice include Fire Baked Wings, Brown Butter Pasta, and Garlic Cheese Bread.
Hattie B’s Hot Chicken
Talk about southern comfort food. Hattie B’s Hot Chicken has every kind of fried chicken that one could ever need.
The entrees include the Hot Chicken Sandwich with chicken breast, cole slaw, and Nashville comeback sauce. You can also grab a plate of either white or dark meat, or go straight to chicken tenders or wings.
The sides available are versatile, including southern greens, creamy cole slaw, french fries, pimento mac & cheese, red skin potato salad, and more.
Moe’s Original BBQ
Folks order Moe’s Original BBQ for flavorful platters of meat with hearty sides. Meats for the entrees include ribs, turkey, wings, pork, catfish, and shrimp. Sides include cornbread, baked beans, potato salad, banana pudding, marinated slaw, and more.
If you’re grabbing lunch and only want a sandwich, you can still enjoy a variety of delicious meats, including the pulled pork, smoked turkey, or fried catfish, or order a Fried Shrimp Moeboy. Each sandwich comes with a pair of delicious sides to round out the meal.
Tin Roof primarily offers Tex-Mex food, focusing on quesadillas, street tacos, and appetizers. They also serve a variety of sandwiches and burgers and maintain a well-rounded menu.
The tacos are highlighted by the carnitas and the Left Coast Taco, which included tempura, avocado, pico de gallo, and spicy ranch dressing. As for the quesadillas, consider the Brisket & Shroom or the Buffalo Chicken offerings. While most places might only have cheese, chicken, or steak options when it comes to quesadillas, you won’t find more of a variety than what’s available at Tin Roof.
Birmingham has somewhat of a surprising variety of restaurants that deliver. From Tex-Mex to pizza to burgers and BBQ, you should be able to find anything that you and yours are craving when it comes to deliverable food in Birmingham, Alabama.
