On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took the biggest step against black money holders by banning Rs.500 and Rs.1000 currency notes. Indians started approaching Google Inc, search engine, and searching “How to convert Black Money to White Money” for a couple of days.
The keyword “How to convert Black money to white money” started trending soon after Narendra Modi announcement of Rs.500 and Rs.1000 ban. A shocking factor is, most of the searches for this keyword is from Modi’s hometown Gujarat. Mumbai and Haryana also in the list followed by Gujarat.
The finance minister Arun Jaitley told, “This one decision will change the social culture, in the way people keep money and spend”. Even if you search in google trends “How to convert black money”, Haryana tops the list at the moment and Gujarat next in that list.
