CSK Matches Shifted: We all knew about the issues around Tamil Nadu, especially at the capital of the state during the last IPL match. Because of various reasons, all other matches of CSK will now be shifted to Pune, which is the home venue of last two season's Rising Pune Supergiant. Captain of CSK, MS Dhoni played his last two season at this venue.
However, the fans of CSK waited for two years to watch Indian Premier League matches at their home venue. Due to the local issues, the board had to take this decision for upcoming matches after the protests on Tuesday in the last match.
At Chepauk: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are the only team who won all their league matches and also the final game of the season in 2011. The team has won totally eight matches in a season including final match. CSK is the first team won the title of the season at home ground.
CSK Matches Shifted due to Cauvery protests
On Wednesday, “The matches had to be shifted out as the city police said they would be unable to provide security in this situation,” IPL chairman Rajeev Shukla said in Jaipur.
So, the next match of CSK will be against Rajasthan Royals on April 20 in Pune. CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan said that they all disappointed about this situation. They had more preparations to conduct all the IPL matches at Chepauk, but BCCI wanted us to play in Pune due to the current issue at Tamil Nadu.
So, the Counter Ticket Sales for April 20 match against Rajasthan Royals has been canceled at MAC.
Sam Billing reacted on the update of shifting matches to Pune as “Gutted that we have had to move from Chepauk, the atmosphere was unbelievable! Thoughts with the fan who was badly hurt last night, no one should go to watch & end up in hospital. Hope he recovers soon & all issues are resolved. Keep supporting us it makes a huge difference!”
