Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, who fell unconscious on the campaign trail, was hit by a coronavirus. Speaking at a campaign rally in Vadodara at Gujarat on 14th February, Sunday, Chief Minister Vijay Rupani was confirmed to be infected with the coronavirus.
Chief Minister Rupani was admitted to a private hospital in Ahmedabad from Vadodara, where he was diagnosed with coronary heart disease.
Elections are to be held on the 21st for 6 corporations including Vadodara. Chief Minister Vijay Rupani campaigned for the election in Vadodara on February 14th, 2021. Then, while speaking on stage, suddenly Rupani fainted. When Chief Minister fainted, he was held by nearby guards.
Following this, Chief Minister Vijay Rupani was immediately given first aid and airlifted to Ahmedabad, where he was admitted to the UN Mehta Hospital for treatment.
After hearing the news that Chief Minister Vijay Rupani had fainted, Prime Minister Modi contacted him on the phone and inquired about his health. Vijay Roupani underwent several tests on behalf of the hospital, including a corona examination. Rupee’s health is normal. He needs some rest, the hospital management said.
The results of the corona test for Rupani were released today. It was confirmed that he was infected with the coronavirus. Despite being infected with the coronavirus, Roupani has only mild symptoms, the hospital said in a statement.
Chief Minister has been looking very tired for the last 2 days. Rupani spoke in Jamnagar on Saturday and in Vadodara on Sunday, after BJP senior leaders advised him to cancel speaking at public meetings. According to BJP sources, then Chief Minister Roupani fainted.
