Toyota Innova Crysta launched today: The 2nd generation model of the Japanese Automobile manufacturer's MPV was launched in India after over 10 years. Innova Crysta will Available in four grades with manual transmission (Zx, Vx, Gx & G) and in two grades with an automatic transmission (Zx & Gx).The Innova Crysta is launched at the price range between 13.84 lakh – 20.78 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai). Toyota is currently offering two diesel engine options on the new generation MPV.

Toyota Innova Crysta Overview
The architecture used to build this is the Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) platform, which makes it lighter than the older model. The Toyota looks more masculine with Twin-slat radiator grille in the front. Though the old configuration is retained, new features like a new hexagonal grille with two thick chrome slats, sweptback headlamps, LED daytime running lights makes it look like 2 generations ahead. There is also a new bumper along with redesigned taillamps.

Comfort is guaranteed with Toyota Innova. Toyota offers other features like automatic climate control, power windows, steering-mounted controls, touchscreen infotainment system with Navigation, Bluetooth connectivity, and USB & AUX-IN albeit on select variants. Its list of safety provisions, in accordance to the trim, will comprise dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, Hill-start assist control (HAC), Rear parking sensors, etc.. It consists of totally 7 airbags that ensure safety. Tireless drives can only be accomplished with cozy seats. Toyota has made the seats even more comfortable by widening it. There are also tables for placing your laptops making it easy for workaholics.
The latest iteration of the Toyota Innova MPV sees a change in dimensions too; it is 180mm longer, 60mm wider, and 45mm taller. However, the wheelbase remains the same at 2750mm. Toyota Innova Crysta will get a choice of 2 engine options, namely, a 2.4-litre GD four-cylinder unit with VNT Intercooler, and a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine with Dual VVT-i. For transmission, buyers will be able to choose between a manual and a 6-speed automatic gearbox. The new Toyota Innova will also be offered with the choice of 2 wheel drive and 4 wheel drive drivetrain systems.
Toyota Innova Crysta launched will be available to the customers by the second quarter of 2016. The final date is yet to be announced and it could be before the first week of June 2016. Toyota will mostly range between 10L to 16L and will go up against cars like Maruti Suzuki, Ertiga, Honda Mobilio.

The new diesel engine series of the Toyota Innova Crysta launched, is claimed to be more fuel efficient than the old ‘KD’ engines (2.5-litre 2KD-FTV and 3.0-litre 1KD-FTV). The new Toyota Innova 2016 comes with an improved fuel efficiency of 14.29kmpl (2.8-litre AT) and 15.10kmpl (2.4-litre MT).
