According to the official JEE Main 2017 notification, the fifth Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2017 will conduct on April 2, 2017. Then, all the candidates those who all eligible on this exam will be allowed for the Undergraduate Engineering Programmes in various leading colleges in India such as IITs, NITs, and others.
The students can apply for the JEE Main 2017 examination from December 1, 2016. And the last date for the JEE Main 2017 Registration is January 2, 2017.

JEE Main 2017 Registration Period: 1 December 2016 to 2 January 2017
Last Date of Fees Payment: 3 January 2017
JEE Main 2017 Exam Date: 2 April 2017
JEE Main 2017 Tentative Result: 27 April 2017
New Regulations of JEE Main and JEE Advanced 2017
- There shall be no weightage for the 12th class marks in calculating the ranks in the JEE (Main) examination. That means the normalised score of class 12 will not be considered to determine a student’s JEE Main All India Ranks
- As per the notification published on the official website, “For the candidates to qualify for the admission in the IITs/NITs/IIITs and such other CFTIs whose admissions are based on the JEE (Advanced)/JEE(Main) ranks, they should have secured at least 75% marks in the 12th class examination, or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th class examination conducted by the respective Boards. For SC/ST students the qualifying marks would be 65% in the 12th class examination.”
- The governing body has also allowed 20000 more students for JEE Advanced 2017. So now a total of 2,20,000 candidates who will clear the JEE Main Examination 2017 will be eligible to seat for the JEE Advanced Examination 2017.
- The notification published on the official website also stated that the aspirants thinking to seat for the JEE Main 2017 exam should hold an Aadhaar Card issued by UIDAI. The notification reads, “All the Indian citizen candidates should possess AADHAAR card issued by UIDAI. At the time of filling application form of JEE (Main)-2017, the candidates will have to enter their AADHAAR number, name, date of birth and gender which will be validated with the UIDAI’s data. In case, these particulars do not match; the candidates will not be able to fill the application form for JEE (Main)-2017. Therefore, the candidates are advised to ensure that their AADHAAR card has correct details of their name, date of birth and gender as per school records. If there is some mismatch in these details, the candidates should immediately get it corrected in AADHAAR data or school records, as the case may be.”
