In the Reliance Annual General Meeting 2017, the company’s chairman Mukesh Ambani introduced new 4G featured phone on July 21st of 2017. At that time, he doesn’t mentioned the release date and time of the phone. In that AGM, his son explained the specification and features of the JioPhone. Now, the phone is ready to launch for public after the beta testing with limited designs recently.
The Reliance Jio confirmed the launch date as August 24 and the launch time is 05:30 pm. Also, they notified the people about the booking process on early morning of launch date. In that poster, it contains that the free JioPhone pre-booking checklists. It reads that “Ensure your Phone / Device is charged. List the Numbers of your Friends, Family members you would like to book for, Note the Pin Code for Delivery Address, Keep Credit / Credit card handy or have sufficient funds in your digital wallets, and Contain your Excitement and take a deep breath.”

JioPhone Booking Amount: Intially it was stated that the customer need to pay Rs 1500 refundable amount while booking JioPhone. After several misinterpretations, now the customers must pay Rs 500 instead. On the basis of a first come, first serve, the company will deliver the phone to home. The Booking process may stop at any time. As per the sources, the Pre-Booking process will not extend until September 2017.

At the time of delivery, the customer should pay Rs 1000 remaining. So, the total Rs 1500 is the deposit, the company will be refunded after three years.
