Kamal Haasan, the versatile actor and producer, has reportedly taken up another role for his upcoming film, the S Shankar-directed Indian 2. According to sources, Kamal Haasan is helping out with the editing of the film, which is a sequel to the 1996 blockbuster Indian. The film, which earned Kamal his fourth National Film Award, was also India’s official entry to the Academy Awards that year.
Indian 2, which has been in the making for a long time, is said to have a runtime of approximately five hours. Therefore, the film’s makers reportedly made the decision to turn the film into two parts. However, Kamal Haasan does not agree with this idea and believes that the film can be trimmed down to a single part. He is said to have taken on the mantle of editor for Indian 2 and is working closely with the director to reduce the length of the film.
