Musician Prince Dead at 57: Music Icon Prince, who created the magic with his sound of the ’80s with his songs like “Kiss” and “Purple Rain” and defied the English music industry died Thursday. Prince Death is a huge loss to the music Industry.
The 57-year-old American singer was found unresponsive in an elevator at Paisley Park Studios in Chanhassen, Minnesota, Carver County Sheriff.
Paramedics tried to perform CPR but were unable to revive him. He was pronounced dead at around 10:07 a.m.
It is with profound sadness that I am confirming that the legendary, iconic performer, Prince Rogers Nelson, has died at his Paisley Park residence this morning,” publicist Yvette Noel-Schure said.
Prince Rogers Nelson was an American singer, songwriter, record producer, and actor. Prince was renowned as an innovator and is known for his eclectic work, stage presence, and wide vocal range. He was widely regarded as the pioneer of Minneapolis sound. His music integrates a variety of styles, including funk, rock, R&B, soul, hip hop, disco, psychedelia, jazz, and pop.
Prince won seven Grammy Awards and earned 30 nominations. Five of his singles topped the charts and 14 other songs hit the Top 10. He won an Oscar for best original song score for “Purple Rain.”

Prince who had two performances scheduled up postponed those two performances from his Piano & A Microphone Tour on April 7, 2016, at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta, Georgia, because of flu. On April 15, Prince’s private jet made an emergency landing at Quad City International Airport in Moline, Illinois, for medical treatment. Representatives stated that he suffered from “bad dehydration” and had been fighting influenza for several weeks.
