AIADMK MLAs have selected General Secretary Sasikala Natarajan popularly known as Chinnamma to be Legislative party leader after the party meets in Chennai on Sunday.
Present CM O. Panneer Selvam (OPS) has resigned from his position. He suggested the name of Chinnamma aka Sasikala Natarajan as the leader of AIADMK Legislature Party Leader. She is supposed to meet Governor C Vidyasagar Rao to take charge of CM of Tamil Nadu.

The meeting scheduled today between the MLAs took place around 45 minutes behind schedule on account of a preliminary meeting. At Sasikala’s Poes Gardens residence the meeting is held. However, based on our sources, the meeting went over more than two hours where the final confirmation came about the new CM.
Sasikala will take her oath as the new Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu State in new few days from current CM O Panneerselvam. The Political Party AIADMK is planning to schedule her oath taking ceremony on 8th or 9th February of this year. Sasikala also added 23 people to the existing 38 office bearers at the party headquarters.
Chinnamma Sasikala was appointed as the General Secretary of AIADMK after the death of Former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Jayalalithaa. AIADMK’s top decision-making body General Council took that decision.
