SBI Fixed deposit interest rate: State Bank of India has hiked the fixed deposits interest rates for select tenures (several maturity periods). This new revised interest rates on FD come into effect from Monday on 30th July 2018.
There is no changes on the deposits of less than a year maturity period. On others which greater than a year have been rised in the range of 5 basis to 10 basis points, which means from 0.05 per cent to 0.1 per cent. (A basis point is a tenth of a percent.)
The interest rate for the term from 1 year to 2 years will be 6.70 per cent which has hiked from existing 6.65 per cent. From 2 to 3 years, it will be from 6.65 to 7.75 per cent. Also, the senior citizens interest rates of the tenure 1 to 2 years has been up from 7.15 per cent to 7.20 per cent and from 7.15 to 7.25 percent for the tenure 2 to 3 years.
