Visaaranai Movie is one in 85 movies, which selected from the list of Movies in 89 countries in September. It is the only film which selected from India, which directed by Vetrimaaran. The Indian actor Dhanush had produced this film under his production banner, Wunderbar films. The Visaranai movie was released in September 2015 with the film direction of Vetrimaaran. According to the source, the film missed out from the 89th Academy Awards for Best Foreign Language Film.

Director Vetrimaran and Dhanush are the dearest friends. Both of them have paired up and created this Interrogation. Vetrimaran directed two massive films for Dhanush at his beginning stage of cinema career, which are Aadukalam and Polladhavan. After that, director Vetrimaran paired up with Dhanush as producer and made a real-life-based movie called ‘Visaranai.’ The movie got fabulous reviews from the critics and it already bagged various awards from 72nd Venice Film Festival, Amnesty International Italia Award, 63rd National Film Awards.

  • Russia Film: “Paradise” and the director of this film is Andrei Konchalovsky.
  • Sweden Film: “A Man Called Ove” and the director is Hannes Holm.
  • Switzerland Film: “My Life as a Zucchini” and the director is Claude Barras.
