Advertise With Us

Advertising pays for this site. It is the reason WORLDHAB is free to read, with no paywall and no registration wall, so we would rather explain the commercial side in public. Enquiries go to support@worldhab.com with “advertising” in the subject line.

Who reads WORLDHAB

We are an English-language general-interest magazine with a readership scattered across many countries rather than concentrated in one. People arrive from search and from shared links, usually for one specific story, and the desks they land on are Auto, Business, Entertainment, Gaming, Lifestyle, News, Science, Sports, Tech and Travel. A travel campaign and a gaming campaign behave nothing alike here.

We will not print a traffic figure here. Any number we published would be stale within weeks and buyers know it. Ask us and we will send current verified numbers out of our analytics, with the country and device split for the period you care about. If your plan depends on one market, tell us which, because for some markets our honest answer is that we are the wrong buy.

What we sell

Display placements run across article and section pages, sold either programmatically through the exchanges that serve our inventory or direct for a fixed period. Newsletter sponsorship is a single slot per send, clearly marked, with one sponsor per edition. Sponsored articles are available under the rules in the next section.

What we do not sell tells you as much. No autoplay video, no sound without a click, no interstitial covering the story before the reader has read a sentence. We cap the units on a page instead of filling every gap, because a stuffed page performs worse for the advertiser too, and we would rather take a slower yield than lose the reader.

How sponsored content works here

A sponsored article carries a label at the top naming who paid for it, sits in a visually distinct container, and is kept out of the news feeds and section fronts where readers expect editorial. The label does not shrink, slide down the page, or soften into something vague like “partner insight”.

Newsroom staff do not write sponsored work as though it were reporting. Sponsored copy comes from the sponsor or from writers on the commercial side, and we check it for accuracy and legality before it runs. That is the only editorial judgment we apply. It carries no staff byline, and we will not build a sponsored piece that mimics the layout of our own coverage.

What we refuse

Some categories are declined regardless of budget. Gambling and betting affiliate campaigns aimed at our Gaming readers. Crypto, currency and trading schemes promising returns, which arrive weekly for the Business desk. Visa, residency and relocation “consultancies” charging for what a government form does for free, which hit travel readers hardest. Health and supplement claims a regulator would not accept. Dropshipping gadget ads built on fake countdown offers.

We also decline paid political advocacy that hides who is paying. And we do not accept requests to insert a link into an existing article, whether the sender calls it link insertion, a collaboration or a correction. Those emails are the most common thing in our inbox and they get no reply. Our editorial standards explain why that line matters more than any single sale.

The firewall, stated plainly

Buying advertising here buys attention on a page. It does not buy coverage, a preview of anything unpublished, a veto, a friendlier angle, or the removal of a story you dislike. If you are a current advertiser and we cover your industry in a way you hate, we will still publish it, and your campaign keeps running unless you cancel it.

Commercial conversations happen away from the desk, and no editor is told that a subject is a client. If an advertiser asks for editorial in return for spend, we log it and end the conversation. How the money is structured to keep that true is on our ownership and funding page.

Programmatic inventory, data and privacy

Most display demand reaches us through programmatic exchanges rather than direct deals. We keep blocklists at category and advertiser level, and we act on any creative a reader reports, because a scam ad on our page is our problem no matter who served it.

Partners in that chain must meet the consent and data rules that apply to our readers, and consent signals from our own notice are passed downstream. Our privacy policy and cookie policy describe what is collected and by which categories of partner. We do not sell reader email addresses and we do not hand our newsletter list to a sponsor.

Rates, booking and reporting

Write to us with the campaign, the markets, the desks you want and the flight dates, and we will send the rate card with current audience figures for those desks. Rates are not published here because they move with placement, season and duration, and a printed number would only be wrong.

Direct campaigns are booked with a signed order and creative approval before launch. During the flight you get impressions, viewability and clicks by placement, plus a short written read at the end from someone who worked on it rather than an automated export. If a placement is underperforming halfway through we will tell you then, not at invoice time. Other routes in are on the contact page.
